IR or UHF: Faster registrations, fewer errors and automatic guiding of vehicles
General
At all places where vehicles with bulk material has to be weighed in transportation, such as at petrochemical plants, concrete factories, agricultural sites and many other places, are ideal applications for the Scirocco products.
Automatic identification of the vehicle or load with a Scirocco tag gives full control over the process and eliminates any need to temporarily stop the vehicle. Weighing in motion will not only reduce queues and fuel consumption, it also adds significant convenience to the driver and thereby more accuracy in the handling.
The weighing application can be served both with Scirocco IR and Scirocco UHF products. If the application concerns a small fleet of trucks IR is typically used because of its lower reader cost, while in applications with many tags such as for identification of containers, UHF may be a better choice.
