Automatic identification in the process industry is often a challenge, not least because of the extremely demanding environments. Scirocco systems are designed to handle interference from rough electromagnetic environments without disturbances, as well as to stand wet processes.
In certain plants however, there is also a need to identify objects that pass the process at extreme temperatures, such as in the metal processing industries. The solution to this identification problem can then be to place a Scirocco metal barcode on the object carrier and to read and control the process at various places along the line. The Scirocco metal barcode system can not only read the barcode at the high passage speeds that are common in many manufacturing processes, but also work even if the barcode makes a reversal when passing the reader.
