Grain collection

When farmers supply their loads of grain to a collection centre, the deliveries need to be weighed and analysed. During the hectic harvest season, significant problems with congestion around the collection centre can occur since, with manual methods, the registration process at the entrance, the weighbridge and the grain analysing points cause delays.

Scirocco identification system make this process more efficient. On arrival, the farmer registers and receives a tag that is placed in a holder inside the windscreen. Readers are installed at the grain analyse station, at the weighbridge, at the unloading points as well as at the registration office. The vehicle and grain load is now automatically identified by readers at the weighbridges. At the end of the unloading procedure, the driver returns the ID-tag and gets the automatically created delivery documentation from the registration office.

The turnaround time for vehicles unloading at the centre is drastically reduced and the system eliminates human errors in the delivery and documentation process. It also gives reduced overhead costs at the centre that has to be open around the hour during the harvest season.
